An easy-to-understand economics book? In fact, I think we humans are easily affected by illusions. Suppose there are two situations: one is that deposits decrease by 5%, but prices decrease by 10%; the other is that deposits increase by 5%, but prices increase by 10% From the paper data, we will know that the first type has increased our wealth, but if we encounter it in reality, we will often think that the second type has increased our wealth. Although deflation can digest excess production capacity. But in today's era of international trade, does deflation mean that the country will be flooded with hot money? Looted. I think finance is not an absolute concept, but a relative concept. It is a concept that will continue to move and change over time. There is no absolute right or wrong in the financial world, only facts speak for themselves
Island Economics - Learning Economics in Life. The book uses vivid and interesting stories to explain the complex economic principles through the process of the islanders making a living from fishing to developing economic systems such as currency, banking, and trade, allowing us to deeply understand the nature of economic growth. From daily things and behaviors such as fish, fishing nets, saving money, and borrowing money, it gradually extends to concepts such as currency, savings, and investment in the economy. It also graphically illustrates: When the government excessively issues currency, prices rise, currency depreciates, and people's wealth is quietly eroded; Through trade with other islands, optimize the allocation of resources and promote economic prosperity; Excessive government intervention may hinder economic development. We must maintain free economic development and avoid unnecessary intervention; ... This book allows us to master economic knowledge in an easy way in a unique way. It is a good introduction to economics knowledge that is worth reading again and again. [Three core questions] 1. What is the fundamental driving force for economic development? : Production, savings and investment and innovation based on them. 2. How does inflation occur? : Inflation is primarily caused by an excess of money supply that exceeds actual economic demand. 3. What impact does debt have on the economy? : Moderate debt can promote economic development, but excessive debt may lead to economic crisis. (For example, companies use reasonable debt financing to expand production and promote economic growth; but if the debt is too high and cannot be repaid, it may cause corporate bankruptcy and even affect the stability of the entire economic system. The trillion-dollar story of a certain major company is vivid in my mind) Content Sharing 1. One person's expenditure is another person's income. 2. Reasons for economic growth: better ways to produce the things humans need. 3. Savings are not only a means to increase personal consumption capacity, but also an important buffer to prevent the economy from being affected by unexpected factors. 4. Consumption is only the scale we use to measure production, because everything produced is ultimately used for consumption. 5. Capital refers to a kind of equipment. The construction and use of this equipment itself has no meaning. Its significance lies in using the equipment to build and manufacture other needed things.
I especially like the author's portrayal of the character's behavior, which is very realistic and makes it easy for me to understand economic phenomena. The storyline is also engaging, like watching an engaging drama. All in all, this is a great introductory book on economics, highly recommended!
This book contains practical information as well as personal information. It is not suitable as an introductory book. You should read Ma Zhe's book first. It advocates a free market economy and a capitalist tone. Some of the views in it are a bit backward, but you still need to read it. The economic ideas in it are quite good.
A very good metaphorical story that makes people think. I think it is similar to "The Crowd", which is very subjective but has a bold and original point of view. However, at the same time, it requires you to think carefully about the content to avoid misunderstandings.
This book uses easy-to-understand stories to tell the principles of economics. It is worth reading for those who have never been exposed to economics before or have little understanding of economics. It is also a good introductory book to economics for children. The first half of the book is mainly based on economic principles, and the second half is basically a critique of U. S. Policies - which can also be used as a reference for other countries. The author himself obviously leans towards the Austrian school, advocates free market and opposes government intervention. Some of his views are somewhat questionable.
I haven't read many books on economics, and this is technically my first one. Some of the content makes me feel the same way, and some of it is confusing and needs to be digested. While I was reading, I kept thinking that for me, understanding some economics is the disenchantment of some methods. Some seemingly high-level practices may actually be just filling loopholes one after another. If you don't see clearly, they may become tools to fill loopholes. Therefore, it is beneficial to open the book.
In general, it is realistic and provides a good perspective, which allowed me to re-understand the factors and good policies that stimulate economic growth. Most of us should protect our own bags, strive to improve ourselves, and learn from the lessons next door. In one wave after another, I learned to protect myself first, and then go to the wind. Give yourself a measure. If you exit in time, the loss will be smaller.
Examples close to life, abstract metaphors. Readers can more clearly understand that the purpose of the economy is to increase productivity, not to stabilize employment; on a deserted island, cooperation is necessary to find a chance of survival, and no one exists independently; the formation of the republic and the government's tax collection have made the public system more stable and orderly, thus better serving the public.
This book was my first exposure to the so-called "Austrian" economic theory. I have to say that it quite subverted some of my original ideas. Interesting and easy to read. Highly recommended
Very good, recommended to readers interested in economics
This book describes the process of American capitalist expansion that kills the goose and lays the eggs. It uses easy-to-understand stories to tell the operating rules of the world economy, making it easier for ordinary people to understand the modern global economic situation.
A very good book to understand economic principles and modern American economic history, which is of great significance to investment decisions.
Recommended by teachers, concise and easy to understand
The first economics book
I have been studying Keynes before, maybe it would be good to add some free market ideas.
Repeating the process of failure over and over again is the price to pay for greed.
The opinion may not be correct, but it made me think.
Look at the economy from a new perspective, but don't be biased and think independently.
To analyze the U. S. Economy using metaphors, you can refer to
Very creative and easy to understand
This book gave me a relatively systematic, comprehensive and profound understanding of the underlying laws and objective facts of the economic development of the United States. It is a popular science book that has benefited me a lot.
It's very interesting to tell it in a story way. The second time I reviewed the reading, I gained a lot. If I didn't understand, I would have some background knowledge. After searching, it became clear that the price level (price) is determined by the relationship between supply and demand.
The book uses fish as an example to make it easy to understand
I remember I have this book at home
It's a great harvest, very good
We may learn from the trend of economic prosperity, but recession and depression may be equally inevitable due to various factors.
This book talks about the internal operating rules of the economy and the reasons for the occurrence of some phenomena.
Although it is a fable and uses relatively simple language and analysis to make predictions, in fact it is still relatively complicated, and Mesonia's trump card is not only the U. S. Dollar.
It's so shocking. It solved a problem that has been bothering me for many years.
