Cultivating Immortality Online in the Fourth Calamity

They are cruel and heartless.

They are ridiculous and foolish.

They seek happiness. Even the rare treasures others covet are nothing more than props to amuse them.

They seek peace of mind. Even if their enemies outnumber them tenfold or a hundredfold, they will never give up as long as they believe the cause is worth it.

They often do things others find impossible to understand, as if those very acts bring them joy.

But they are also crueler than anyone else. Their favorite accompaniment is the wailing and begging of their enemies.

They treat everyone equally.

Beggar, commoner, official, noble clan, emperor, cultivator, even the legendary immortals: in their eyes, all are the same. And they mete out equal punishment to every evildoer, whether he is the crown prince, the chief disciple of a cultivation sect, or an immortal's own kin.

The world calls them the judges who govern all sin, magistrates who walk among the living, and pioneers capable of anything.

But I know.

They are the immortal Fourth Calamity.
