Forbidden Core

[No System] [Humanity's Rise] [Conquest Across the Myriad Worlds] [Decisive and Ruthless]

In the multiverse, humanity, the most intelligent of all beings, is nothing more than food for demons and beasts;

or a source of faithful believers and servants for the Celestial and Blood Spirit races.

Fang Yue had planned to take the imperial examinations and live an ordinary life, but he stumbled upon the truth of this seemingly mundane otherworld.

The last page of a martial arts manual does not record a way to ascend to immortality. Instead, it bears four crimson characters:

Do not ascend!

Had Heaven not given birth to Fang Yue, humanity would have endured an endless, wintry night!

Slay every foreign race and climb to the forbidden throne!

I'm doing my best to write a fantasy power trip that makes sense and doesn't dumb down its characters. Fellow cultivators, please show your support!
