A fascinating exploration of the science behind the unthinkable—from death rays and force fields to invisibility cloaks—and reveals the possibilities for these technologies to be realized decades to millennia in the future. A hundred years ago, scientists would have said that lasers, televisions and atomic bombs transcended what was physically possible. In Incredible Physics, physicist Michio Kaku explores the possibility that technologies and devices currently considered unachievable in science fiction may become commonplace in the future. From teleportation to telekinesis, Michio Kaku uses the world of science fiction to investigate the fundamentals and limits of the laws of physics as we know them today. He classifies these technologies as first, second, and third class based on when they are likely to be realized: within the next century, within thousands of years, or perhaps never. In engaging and thought-provoking words, he explains: How optics and electromagnetism will make it possible one day to bend light around an object, like a stream around a boulder in a river, making the object invisible to an observer "downstream." How ramjets, laser sails, antimatter engines and nanoships might take us to nearby stars in the future. How telepathy and willpower—once considered pseudoscience—may one day be realized using MRI, superconductivity, and nanotechnology.

This is a good book, but why are you recommending this kind of book to me?
I especially like the author's imagination of future technologies, such as teleportation and time travel. Some of the scientific principles in the book also opened my eyes. Although I am about to get married, I still dream about one day being able to board a rocket ship and explore unknown planets😜 This book makes me full of expectations for the future and makes me believe in the power of technology even more. Recommended to friends who like science fiction!
