Tale of the Mountain Spirit

The jade maiden smiles as she plucks a flower, and the myriad ways of the Dao reveal their subtle wonders. Her hand moves, a single stroke falls, and the scroll of chaos unfurls.

Mortals fight for a breath; gods fight for a single incense stick. From the dawn of the Great Dao to the Immortal Divine Emperor, from a humble Qi Refiner to a Primordial Great Golden Immortal, he draws on the heartfelt wishes of all living beings and carves a path through seas of blood and endless fields of bones!

One phrase at a riverside inn: “I envy neither mandarin ducks nor immortals!” At the Nameless Temple, he extinguishes the Buddha within his heart; atop Red Cloud Peak, all is emptiness.

This is delusion, and also the mountain spirit.
