The Neighbors in Our Community

Novel: Neighbors in the Community

Synopsis:

Zhang Wei and Li Xiaowei are a young married couple. After working for ten years in a southern city, they finally buy a three-bedroom apartment in a large residential complex and have a home in the truest sense of the word.

They have three neighbors. Across the hall lives an elderly couple, Qin Hui and Liang Hunv, whose son and daughter both live abroad. Zhang Wei and his wife get along very well with them.

To their left lives a family of five: a middle-aged couple in their fifties, Zhang Xiaomao and Wei Bao, who live with their daughter and grandson. They both have secure government jobs and sometimes look down on the self-employed, so Zhang Wei and his wife don't interact with them much.

To their right lives a single mother named Zhang E. In her thirties, she is divorced and raising her five- or six-year-old son alone, and they struggle to make ends meet.

Over the years, Zhang Wei and his wife share both sorrow and joy, anger and laughter with their three neighbors, reflecting the bonds between neighbors in a new era.
