Chapter 9 opens with the original wife’s storyline, while Chapters 1–8 open with the second wife’s. Either works, and each has its own appeal, so choose whichever you like. I recommend starting from Chapter 9, because that is where the original dream began.
A quick explanation: this is my first time writing a book, and I didn’t know the rules for deleting and revising chapters. After making major cuts and revisions, I couldn’t publish the original wife’s opening and its continuation, so I moved the later content to the beginning. I had no choice but to push the original wife’s opening back to Chapter 9. It’s entirely my own fault, and it may affect your reading experience. My apologies, everyone!
Chapters 9–44 cover the past life. Su Yinyang was born with a “yin-yang face,” which is said to be an ill omen. He struggles at the very bottom of society, trying to escape the “ill omen” label, but fails. In the end, however, misfortune turns to fortune: he grasps the Way of “following Heaven and accepting fate” and awakens his yang body.
Chapters 1–8 and Chapter 45 onward cover the present life, in which he begins cultivating immortality after reincarnation. The story also incorporates and adapts parts of traditional myths. I’m still working hard to develop the story. Thank you for reading!
