I read this book recommended by others. The plot is touching. Yu Hua created a father who is full of love for his children - Xu Sanguan. Unfortunately, Xu Sanguan raised his children with blood, but he never used the money from selling blood to eat a plate of fried pork liver for himself. It was a sad story of that era and made me understand the background of that era. What moved me most was that Xu Sanguan wanted to eat a plate of fried pork liver when he was 60 years old. In that section, Xu Yulan scolded their son and really wanted to cry. I have already finished watching Yu Hua's "Alive", and I am going to watch "Shouting in the Drizzle" soon. Xu Sanguan, your love for your son is so deep.
I really like the character of Xu Yulan. She is very real and cute. The scene where Xu Yulan gives Xu San some advice on pork liver at the end is also very heartwarming. Only people who have experienced a lot together can support and understand each other so much.
