What's It Like to Be Mistaken for a Psychopathic Serial Killer All the Time?

[Mystery + horror + comedy + no female lead]

In 2022, missing-person cases and bizarre murders suddenly become common in the good-hearted, picturesque city of Lanhai. At nearly every crime scene, witnesses spot a young man in a bloodstained white lab coat, carrying a half-meter-long butcher's knife.

“I'm a medical student who moonlights as a midnight pig butcher. This getup is totally normal, right?”

“And the blood on my lab coat? Obviously, I got it while slaughtering pigs.”

“Why do I carry a stun baton and a brick everywhere? It's perfectly reasonable for a young man to carry a little self-defense gear when he's out and about, isn't it?”

Qi Zi'an does his best to keep smiling harmlessly as he patiently explains himself to the fully armed police and the victims huddled in the corner: “Please believe me, I'm a good person, not a deranged serial killer, okay!”
