Reborn in 1988: From Peddler to the Richest Man

Long Hao returned to 1988 and seized the opportunities of a period of transition, becoming the richest man in the village.

He helped the village sell its agricultural products and led the locals in developing green industries.

He led the villagers in improving their hometown and transforming the environment. He secured funding to pave roads and bring electricity to the village. He imposed a grazing ban on the mountains, planted trees and grass, managed the watershed, and built dams and reservoirs. He drilled deep wells for the villagers, built water cellars and storage ponds…

He protected the ancient terraced fields, restored the old temple and camel trail, and developed the old cave dwellings…

He built a school and a health clinic, and organized folk-song and opera competitions. He built a trading market and industrial park, developed cave-dwelling inns, and promoted rural tourism. He extracted oil and did business with foreign countries…

The village grew prosperous, its people enjoying a life that city folk envied. It embarked on a path of rapid, high-quality development, and at last Long Hao’s grand vision came true.
