A Gentle Breeze Soars in My Soul

Yu Bohan was born on the North China Plain. After her biological parents met an untimely death, she moved with her adoptive mother, Yu Ruqing, to live in Lotus Town.

After an earthquake, Yu Bohan's adoptive father and older brother died one after another, and her adoptive mother suffered a mental breakdown.

In 1979, when her university acceptance letter arrived, her adoptive mother, who had been ill for a long time, suddenly suffered a stroke and fell into a vegetative state. Yu Bohan gave up her chance to attend university so she could care for her.

After her adoptive mother's death, Yu Bohan chose to work as a teacher while studying for the college entrance exam the following year.

During the exam, Yu Bohan, whose health had always been poor, suddenly collapsed while answering the questions. At the hospital, she was diagnosed with leukemia.

Qi Haoming, Yu Bohan's childhood friend and now a police officer, returned to their hometown from the far northwest. At his insistence, he and Yu Bohan got engaged. While the two were traveling, Yu Bohan was hospitalized from exhaustion, and doctors discovered that she did not have leukemia.

When Qi Haoming learned that his childhood friend Zhuo Ran and Yu Bohan were the ones who truly loved and understood each other, he quietly left for a job in Shenzhen.

Yu Bohan opened a bookshop and art gallery, and devoted herself to painting.

After completing his PhD in Country M, Zhuo Ran chose to return home to work. Before he left, his advisor's father, Wen Yifeng, asked him to find his long-lost granddaughter, Qiu Bohan.

The granddaughter Wen Yifeng was searching for, Qiu Bohan, was none other than Yu Bohan, the beloved woman Zhuo Ran was searching for.
