[Mystery + calculating heroine + sweet romance + serious drama]
An orphaned girl burdened by a blood feud joins forces with a patient, protective judicial commissioner. With her extraordinary skill at examining corpses, she helps him solve a string of bizarre cases and ultimately foil the shocking plot of a powerful imperial preceptor who uses “immortality pills” to control the realm.
Eight years ago, her family was slaughtered, and she was the only survivor. While fleeing, she saved a man who seemed to be in even worse shape than she was.
Eight years later, he reappears in her life, taking her to investigate cases and helping her solve them, until they uncover the truth behind her family’s massacre.
She doesn’t recognize him just because he’s missing a front tooth? Why is she so sure that enormous tooth was the one he lost? And now she thinks she can track him down by his teeth.
Hu Qingchen starts to wonder whether protecting and waiting for Luo Qingning for eight years has been worth it.
He still can’t figure out what possessed her back then to shout, “You’re mine!” and tie him down.
With her kind of cleverness, she wants to join the Judicial Commission? She can wait. They’ll talk about it when she finally recognizes him.
