Gazing at the Stars

They say that two people who gaze up at the sky will eventually meet.

“Yao Yao? Then I’ll call you A Yao. It’ll make me seem special.”

“Whatever you want.”

That winter, eighteen-year-old Tang Ni stood at the back of the classroom. As the girl walked toward him, her hair lifting gently in the breeze became the finest memento of youth.

During the ten years Chi Yao was gone, the design genius created the wedding dress his beloved girl had always wanted. After that, he was never again the celebrated designer “Y.”

What is love? Perhaps it was Tang Ni studying both finance and design for Chi Yao, or perhaps it was the “A Yao” he called her as a boy.

In the end, his girl married someone else, and the person who had gazed up at the sky never saw her again for the rest of his life.
