Biyou is a jiao who has cultivated for many years and dreams of becoming a dragon, for dragons are immortals. But something seems to have gone wrong. She appears to have committed some terrible offense and was sealed beneath a lake.
She was imprisoned for so long that most of her memories faded. She can no longer recall much of her past. All she remembers vaguely is a man's face, one that keeps appearing in her mind, though she cannot remember who he is.
Then one day, the seal breaks and she regains her freedom. The human world has changed beyond recognition, but she sees that face again: the man who has lingered in her memories.
She seeks him out, hoping to recover her precious memories. She never expected that staying by his side would lead to one inexplicable event after another.
