The Earth's Heartbeat: The Heir

“Congratulations, young woman. You have become the heir to the Great Will. Now you must choose: will you accept our arrangement, or guide humanity in continuing its futile resistance? You don't have to answer me right away. Take some time to think back over everything you've experienced.”

The girl raised her head and gave her answer.

Then a beam of white light slowly descended from outer space, 6,371 kilometers directly above Earth.

“Humanity, would you like to hear Earth's heartbeat?”
