The Empress Exposes My Identity as a General

A legendary god of slaughter, Lin Yi guarded the borders of Great Chu for the sake of its land and people, and to repay the debt he owed to the person who once saved his life. After saving the empress, he was gravely wounded. From then on, Lin Yi grew tired of killing and hoped to quietly coast through life as a wastrel. But his fiancée looked down on him, and that would have been bad enough, she even went to the emperor to lodge a complaint!

Now look what happened: the empress herself came to confront him, weeping as she demanded, “Tell me, are you the God of Slaughter or not?”

Lin Yi sighed. “Alas, I’m no longer in court, yet my legends are everywhere in the halls of power!”
