Girls' Frontline: The Griffin Chronicles

From the very beginning, Griffin's purpose was essentially to serve as an unconventional political front. No matter how much Griffin wanted to deny it, the truth was laid bare for anyone with eyes to see. The first of the second-generation Tactical Dolls, Jill Hopkins stood on the edge of the roof of the Gemini Towers, smoking as she watched the Commander in front of her, wearing a coat pinned with a Griffin badge. Commander: "What exactly are you trying to do?" Jill: "No need to understand. Just do your job. The AR Team is what I've left you." That was Jill and the Commander's first meeting, and it went badly. "Don't trust the military, even if you're still allies for now." "The people you've helped won't thank you for what you do, and the people at the top won't thank you for your sacrifices either." "You're just a dog running around everywhere, trying to survive~" M16A1: "That's enough, Sister! I won't let you talk about the Commander like that!" Jill turned away with a sneer. "Tch, suit yourself." And so everyone at Griffin disliked their first doll. Jill didn't care what they thought. She carried on doing as she pleased: refusing missions, refusing to stay at the base, and skipping every gathering the Commander held. Decades later, the Commander, now elderly, looked at Jill sitting on a park bench by the roadside. "I've realized something. Of all the dolls, you're the one who left the deepest impression on me." "You finally figured it out?" "Yeah. Thank you." "Don't thank me, you idiot. Welcome."
