Redemption: You Are a Rib in My Body

At twenty, Ye Zi is still a senior in college with a hero complex. She has clear ideas about right and wrong and knows nothing of the dangers of society. While fighting injustice, she meets Shen Yi, an older man, and experiences the first schemes and betrayals of her life, leaving her timid and weak. The two remain entangled for ten years. Through years of running away and chasing after each other, they gradually realize that they are each other’s salvation.

Shen Yi has always been cold and calculating, but after meeting the sunny, optimistic Ye Zi, a beam of light shines into his icy world and illuminates his life. Through years of shouldering heavy burdens, he comes to understand that happiness is within reach. Ye Zi becomes the one weakness of Shen Yi, a ruthless and decisive force in the business world.

After Ye Zi leaves, Shen Yi searches for her all over the world like a madman.

Three years later, Shen Yi sees a photo of Ye Zi nestled in her husband’s arms, smiling like a brilliant constellation. His eyes bloodshot, Shen Yi is so heartbroken he cannot speak, and he does not even have the courage to demand an explanation.
