This film features a detective priest, the crime catcher in the title. I have always thought that if the priest listens to the confessions of so many criminals but cannot use them as evidence to bring the evildoers to justice, there will be problems one day.
In this book, there are priests who avoid the official investigation and conduct their own investigations. Some will secretly cooperate with the police to solve the case, and some will give clues to the victim's family after finding out the real murderer, so that the other party can take revenge.
If he doesn't take action himself, but plans for others to take revenge, is such a priest a bad person? While hunting down demons, what should you do if you find out that you are also a demon?
The ending is an expected twist.
Linkage with the Mira series: Let a parent whose child is missing find Mira. She is best at finding missing people.
Several priests appear in the article, as well as shape-shifters who can change their identities and Interpol who hunt the shape-shifters. It feels a bit like being in a maze.
The question is: Who stole whose identity?
This book is so wonderful. It is elegantly written and narrates human nature, religion, philosophy, architecture and art history in the process of narrating the story. It is like the unforgettable scenery along the way on a beautiful journey. When I read Marcus is a Priest, I thought it was the Italian version of Detective Father Brown. However, the sudden twist at the end was shocking. Father Marcus was already dead, and Father "Marcus" with the scar on his temple turned out to be the Chernobyl murderer many years ago! ! ! And that boyish, handsome boy with Interpol and long blond hair is actually another Pardon priest who avenges Father Marcus. What will happen next? Will the fake priest be exposed? Will he still go on a killing spree? Can Mira, who has just passed by, be able to find the missing daughter for that father?
The plot of this book is so exciting! Especially when the murderers gradually surface and the secrets are revealed layer by layer, it makes people so nervous that their hearts beat faster. I like the plot of the book about tracking evil and uncovering secrets. The author's description is very delicate, making me feel that I am also pursuing the truth with the protagonist. Highly recommended to friends who like suspense reasoning!
There is something deficient about human beings. However, humanity will prevail in the end!
