When the master came to Baolin, Shaozhou governor Wei and officials went to the mountain and asked the master to come out and give sermons to the people in the lecture hall of Dafan Temple in the city. The division was promoted to more than 30 governors and officials, and there were more than 30 Confucian scholars. More than a thousand monks, nuns, Taoists and laypeople were performing rituals at the same time and were willing to listen to the essentials of the Dharma.
