The General's Socially Anxious Maid

Guided by the principle that every kindness must be repaid, Su Ran’s father reluctantly sends his beloved daughter to the general’s estate, where she becomes Xiao Changfeng’s personal maid. The General never gives the many lovely ladies in his household a second glance. He only thinks that his little maid cooks well and is pretty, too. Before long, the general, who has always kept his distance from women, turns into a jealous possessive type, wanting to keep Su Ran by his side at all times. As a social-anxiety sufferer, Su Ran hates dealing with strangers. Still, she has to handle the charming prince’s teasing and the other ladies’ provocations. Heaven knows she nearly faints every day trying to think up the right compliments. Luckily, the general takes care of unwanted socializing for her and steps in to argue on her behalf when it counts. “General, that’s my brother.” “He’s not your blood brother. He’s still a threat.” Xiao Changfeng has never liked her brother. “General, I heard you’re going to marry the princess.” “Only if the emperor makes you a princess.” Su Ran marvels: General, you’re really good at this!
