Any Stories Set in Republican-Era China About a Patriotic Protagonist Determined to Save the Country?
I want a protagonist who cares deeply about the nation and its people, and is wholly devoted to serving them. Saving the country should come first, with romance as a side plot. I’ve read too many Republican-era novels about talented men and beautiful women. I want to see stories from that era that are about more than love: great figures and martyrs who broke through the darkness in search of the light and feared no sacrifice.
