History*****

This book is very interesting! It tells the story of the long transformation process of Chinese society starting from the Opium War, which is as tortuous and turbulent as the Three Gorges. The characters in the book are all very vivid, and the author evaluates their merits and demerits impartially, which gave me a clearer understanding of history. But I kind of hate those selfish characters, they bring a lot of obstacles to the process of history. Overall, this is a book worth reading!
