The Fox Lord's Bewitchment

They say foxes give their daughters away in marriage when it rains on a sunny day, but no one knows this can happen another way, too. At night, a wedding procession stretches ten miles along a mountain road, all decked out in red. The foxes carrying the bride turn back every three steps. If a living person comes across them, they must bow their head and silently repeat, “I mean no disrespect, I mean no disrespect.” Otherwise, if they disrupt a fox wedding, disaster will strike and a little ghost will come to claim their life. When I was eight, I went up the mountain alone and accidentally stumbled upon a fox wedding. From then on, a fox clung to me, and strange things kept happening around me. I helped wronged spirits move on and broke the curses of haunted houses, nearly losing my life in the process.
