Zhang Huan wakes up on an island, utterly bewildered. One strange thing after another leaves him struggling to process it all: extinct creatures, annoying monkeys, and objects that have appeared out of nowhere and defy explanation. Before he can figure out what has happened to him, Zhang Huan encounters other people who have suffered the same fate: girls, middle-aged men, friends, enemies, and even relatives who have passed away. Everyone drifts together and then scatters again in confusion. They are attacked, hunted, and even controlled. Each of them is connected to the others by countless threads, yet they have never met. It is as if an invisible hand is toying with them and pulling their strings, or as if they have been abandoned on an island from which there is no way home. Only by searching for clues can they uncover the truth! But when the truth is finally laid before them, they plunge into an endless abyss.
