Who would have thought that a medical student, doomed to cram for finals, would suddenly die and end up inside a fantasy novel?
Jiang Cai happily imagined that as the heroine, she’d be the most beautiful woman in the land, peerlessly radiant, surrounded by rare treasures and handsome princes. It would be the absolute peak of life! If that didn’t work out, she could be the second female lead, cling to the leads, and still thrive.
But when she read the System’s prompt, she discovered she was only cannon fodder, there to get killed off for the male and female leads, not even important enough to have a name. She was done for.
She glared at the culprit and wailed, “You stupid System!”
As a self-aware piece of cannon fodder, Jiang Cai told herself that if she didn’t go looking for trouble, trouble wouldn’t find her. She would enjoy life and keep taking it easy.
But handsome men were becoming increasingly hard to resist. Gazing at her master, whose beauty was as otherworldly as an immortal’s, she covered her face and sobbed. “They’re all for the heroine! Couldn’t you leave just one for me?”
But the plot of this book was just too bizarre. Jiang Cai kept rubbing her forehead in disbelief. The supposedly cool and aloof male lead turned out to be the second male lead, while the obsessive, scheming young man became the male lead. The second male lead and the original heroine lived happily ever after, while she became the hapless human shield again, stuck following the deranged male lead as he wreaked havoc. She gritted her teeth and cursed once more: “You stupid System!”
The author's writing is beautiful! Come on! I suggest you change it to a better-looking writing
