The author Walmsley is like a friendly tour guide, leading us to understand the strange characteristics of light and the history of human understanding of light. The characters in the book are full of curiosity and intelligence, and their experiences opened my eyes. I am particularly fond of scientists who continue to advance the study of optics through experimentation and theory, and whose efforts lead to a deeper understanding of the world. However, I kind of hate those pretentious concepts, but fortunately the author explains everything in a simple and easy-to-understand way. Overall, this is a great book worth reading!
