In the Shanghai Concession in 1931, four forces were stirring up the seemingly peaceful situation here: speculators, secret services, underground organizations, assassination gangs... Wow, this book "Concession" is really wonderful! I particularly like the plot in the book, especially the scene between Xiao Xue and Teresa in the corridor of the Rich Hotel. It was so tense and exciting that I felt as if I was actually there. The author Xiaobai's writing is very pictorial, describing the Shanghai Concession in 1931 vividly. And the various elements in the book are intertwined to form a very complex and fascinating world. I am completely immersed in this story and I highly recommend it!
