Lin Feng transmigrates to the Northern Song era under Emperor Huizong. To make a living, he puts the cooking skills he learned at a hotel to use and opens a small barbecue shop in Bianliang. This brings him into contact with some of the capital's high-ranking officials, as well as Lin Chong, Lu Zhishen, and others. Later, he uses the shop as a convenient base to provide Liangshan with information and intelligence, and arranges all of Liangshan's visitors' activities in the capital.
