The Playboy of the Heavens

The protagonist, Li Yi, was lucky enough to be reborn in another world after death. But he was also unlucky: on the very day he was born, his accompanying golden finger was devoured, and his talent fell by one grade.

With no golden finger to rely on, Li Yi had no choice but to work hard on his own, hoping to reach the pinnacle of cultivation.

Reality is cruel, and it can be dramatic too.

When Li Yi was eighteen, his first and second uncles started a war in the imperial capital as they fought for the throne. Li Yi's family, a distant branch of the imperial bloodline, began making plans to flee.

By a twist of fate, the protagonist's father ascended the throne. But before that, he had destroyed all the teleportation arrays his children could have used to escape.

Left behind, Li Yi arrived on a desolate planet and ended up partnering with the being that had devoured his golden finger, essentially becoming a part-time worker.
