Under the desolate and scorching sun of Mexico, a stained priest fled on the road, and vultures flew by.
Along the way, the priest not only had to avoid persecution and pursuit, but also engaged in a fierce struggle between desire and morality:
Should he abandon the power of the priesthood and live in depravity, or should he insist on the glory of his faith and struggle on the edge of death?
The priest is neither firm nor thorough, but he must make a choice.
And power and glory pulled his soul to a higher and more dangerous place.

The priest's choice between power and glory is thought-provoking. I especially hate the Lieutenant, his mean face and cold behavior really make me angry. However, this also shows that the author has successfully created the character! All in all, this is a good book worth reading.
