Yang Jingxiao was an ordinary novelist on Blue Star. When he was twenty, humanity suddenly faced a massive challenge to its survival as a species.
Overnight, everyone transmigrated to another wondrous world, where all that awaited them were abundant resources and endless zombies.
Just as humanity was falling into despair, a System appeared.
Everyone here was given a dilapidated city, and they had to build their own civilization by randomly unlocking different troop types.
Some unlocked mages, who chanted incantations and used magic to drive back the zombies.
Some unlocked divine beasts that summoned wind and rain and strode across mountains and rivers.
Others could only unlock ordinary soldiers, or even cats and dogs, who were slaughtered by the zombies.
Of course, there were also chosen ones who unlocked god-tier troops, such as Yin soldiers and intelligent machines.
More importantly, city lords had to use their unlocked troops to keep repelling zombies, gather resources, and upgrade their cities to survive in the chaotic world. Or they could take a different route and plunder supplies from other city lords.
Yang Jingxiao never expected to unlock the Zerg. The zombie hordes, which had originally relied on sheer numbers to win, seemed utterly powerless against the boundless tide of insects.
“Congratulations to City Lord 418 for being the first to repel the first wave of zombies.”
“Congratulations to City Lord 418 for discovering the first secret realm and obtaining a Grade C treasure.”
“Congratulations to City Lord 418 for taking the initiative to attack the Zombie Immortal’s lair and receiving a Grade A reward: a full-army body-tempering cleanse.”
Looking at the densely packed tide of insects, Yang Jingxiao said helplessly,
“Sigh... I don’t want to launch an attack either, but these bugs eat way too much X﹏X”
It's really good. I feel like this novel is pretty good. Can the author write a novel without including current things? It feels like there is a sense of inconsistency, but everything else is fine
Very good and worth a look
