Yonghe Pass

Author Wu Qu Yonghe traveled all over this small county, which has only one road, gathering countless stories. He selected thirty-three highly representative individuals to portray the vigorous local campaign to eliminate poverty. These thirty-three stories embody the diligence and wisdom of working people. Locust-flower cakes, big red dates, paper-cutting, tofu skin, vermicelli, donkey meat... Behind these down-to-earth words lies a powerful will to live. With guidance from the local government, these kind people used their hardworking hands to build their own road to prosperity.
