Yan Ning is a goofy, snarky modern-day woman who's recently been watching a hit TV drama. Not because it's good, of course, but because there's so much to make fun of. Just as she's roasting the leads for dragging their feet and making no progress, she accidentally transmigrates into the world of the show as the villainess, and gets linked to a System for good measure.
The villainess is jealous of the heroine and constantly does wicked things, until she ends up dying so thoroughly that not even a trace of her remains.
Yan Ning has no desire to go through that, so she does her best to stay away from the leads and out of their romance plot.

With no other choice, Yan Ning works hard to advance the plot so she can return to reality.
She becomes a completely emotionless tool, pushing things forward at every turn.
When the heroine gets hurt, she sends the hero to help.
When the hero is upset, she sends the heroine to him.
When another female character stirs up trouble, she secretly lends a hand.
But as the progress bar keeps moving forward, it suddenly gets stuck.
System: "Something doesn't seem right..."
Yan Ning suddenly realizes that the villain looks strangely familiar.
