After a long time, Yu Yang and Tang Guo have been together for years. Their lovey-dovey ways never let up, much to the dismay of all the single people around them, so naturally, some troublemakers show up.
Zhou Lei watches Tang Guo bickering with a few friends, then turns to Yu Yang beside him. “What do you even like about her?”
Yu Yang raises an eyebrow. He knows it’s a trap, and he’s not stupid enough to fall for it. “Her face. She’s pretty.”
Zhou Lei bares his teeth. “You’re the type to judge by looks? Back in school, plenty of girls who were prettier than her chased you.”
Yan Jin leans in. “You’re overthinking it, Zhou Lei. Our campus heartthrob Yu never had a choice when it came to Tang Guo.”
Zhou Lei looks confused. “What do you mean?”
Yan Jin shakes his head. This guy is hopeless.
Yu Yang says, “Simply put, I only like her face. To put it more complicatedly…”
Zhou Lei asks, “How do you put it more complicatedly?”
Yu Yang replies, “It means I can only be with her.”
Seeing Zhou Lei and Yan Jin looking green with envy, Yu Yang smiles with satisfaction. He turns his gaze toward Tang Guo and wonders why he likes her. Maybe it’s because he was drawn to her at first sight. Back then, she looked at him with tears in her eyes, her gaze damp and her expression startled. She reminded him so much of the white rabbit his grandmother used to keep that he couldn’t help wanting to protect her fiercely (and pick on her).
