The Dao Realm is divided into six regions: Sacred Province, Sword Province, South Mountain, Medicine Valley, Spirit Sea, and the Dark Realm. The people of each region are steadfast in their convictions. The people of Sacred Province are kindhearted; those of Sword Province care little for worldly affairs and devote themselves to cultivation; the people of South Mountain are reckless and blunt; the people of Medicine Valley save lives with their healing arts, yet are arrogant and self-important; the people of Spirit Sea believe in ghosts and gods; and those of the Dark Realm are self-centered. The six factions kept one another in check until one person disrupted the balance between them.
