Sweet Romance: She Is Lord Xin's Most Treasured Darling

(A sweet romance about the heroine growing up, though her growth is a little slow.)

P.S. The heroine doesn't start out in showbiz. The adorable kid doesn't appear until Chapter 148.

A misunderstanding changes An Haoyi's fate just as she comes of age.

Forced to sign a contract of indenture, she meets the emotionally withdrawn Fu Xinyi.

He eyes her suspiciously. "Why do you keep following me? Who are you?"

She stares at him. "Who's following you, narcissist?"

After running into each other again and again, Fu Xinyi becomes convinced she has ulterior motives.

He frowns. "Your name is An Haoyi?"

She nods. "Mm-hmm, that's right."

He smiles. "Heh. Does your name mean you're up to no good?"

She bristles. "Can't you think of another phrase?"

He grins mischievously. "Up to no good. It suits you."

She sighs. "Fine, I'm up to no good where you're concerned. Happy now?"

When Fu Xinyi is injured saving her during a kidnapping, he uses it as an excuse to guilt her into staying by his side to care for him...

She groans. "Could you act like a human being? I'm too weak to even look after myself right now."

He gazes at her fondly. "I am acting like a human being. Isn't that what I'm doing by looking after you?"
