Ten years ago, Vice President Yu Youqian was about to be reported for embezzling public funds by President Mu Songxiao. To silence him, Yu hired a killer. Ten years later, Yu's son returned from overseas to seek revenge, but through a twist of fate, he wound up sending the parents of his first love, Wen Haiyao, to prison.
Yu Shuyuan spent ten years pursuing Mu Zhixu. When the truth finally came out, she realized the importance of family. For her father's sake, she framed the parents of her best friend, Wen Haiyao, and sent them to prison in his place.
Wen Haiyao rose from a clueless new hire fresh out of college to a successful professional. She and Ling Zhou, a lawyer at the firm, fell for each other, and she eventually became the firm's actual beneficiary. She never imagined that her parents would be framed and sent to prison by Yu Shuyuan, the childhood friend she had grown up with.
Ling Zhou appeared to be the firm's actual shareholder, but in truth, he had always been controlled by Jiang Li and her father. In the end, he joined forces with Wen Haiyao to orchestrate a series of business battles that brought the entire Jiang family down.
Jiang Li was Ling Zhou's childhood sweetheart and fiancée. Because Wen Haiyao came between them, she not only failed to win Ling Zhou's heart, but also developed depression, while her family teetered on the brink of bankruptcy.
Jin Yize loved Yu Shuyuan deeply, but his mother, Bai Yuqi, stood in the way, keeping them apart...
