Everything in the world follows a fixed course. When ordinary people reach the end of their natural lifespan, they enter the next cycle of reincarnation. Cultivators, however, can extend their lives by seizing rare treasures and cultivating.
This world is like a fruit, and cultivators are like the worms inside it, constantly plundering its resources and spiritual energy.
To ensure that this world can endure forever, the Heavenly Dao created the demon race to counterbalance the cultivators.
As one side waxes, the other wanes. Whenever either side threatens the balance of the world, a war between immortals and demons breaks out. In this way, the Heavenly Dao ensures that cultivators and spiritual energy are born from the world and ultimately return to it.
But because the demon race is so destructive, it has always been kept in check by the Heavenly Dao.
The storyline written by the author perfectly hit the point that I like, but I still have a small request. I hope it won't abuse the protagonist so much. Can it be okay? (/≧ω\)
