Paimon was hunting Hilichurls mercilessly with Aether in Mondstadt’s Whispering Woods when a golden meteor suddenly streaked across the sky. Everyone in the middle of the fight looked up at once. Its dazzling light blotted out the sun, so they failed to notice that it was getting closer and closer.
“Ah! Traveler, look out!”
And just like that, our protagonist Aether was crushed to death by the golden meteor. A stranger who didn’t belong to this world took over his body. Paimon stared at Aether lying motionless on the ground and nervously swallowed. She wasn’t sure whether she was worried about the Traveler or herself...
