This is a story about a protagonist with no golden finger, who relies on himself, repeatedly teeters on the brink of death, and endures countless hardships before finally realizing his ideals and ambitions.
It isn't “mindless.” There's no System, and certainly no absurd, over-the-top plot contrivances!
All it has is a protagonist who faces a miserable fate beyond his control, yet refuses to give up even at the edge of death. He's a vivid, flesh-and-blood character in a story both stirring and heartbreaking. He goes from having no control over anything to making an incredible comeback and declaring, “My fate is mine to command, not Heaven's!”
A fresh approach brings a whole new kind of visual feast.
Follow the protagonist through the “firewood, rice, oil, salt,” the sour, sweet, bitter, spicy, and savory, and savor the many different flavors of life.
I have read more than 10 chapters so far, and I feel that the pace is quite good. It is a more traditional ancient romance novel. It is not like other novels. It is exaggerated at the beginning and makes me feel embarrassed. This is a good novel. Although it does not have the most exaggerated plot, I feel that the author should have laid some "foreshadowing". However, I have not figured it out yet. It is precisely this that makes it interesting. The author should write more! 😄 I just haven't figured out who the male protagonist is yet 😄
