"My Life Is Endless - Shuming's Autobiography" is the most complete autobiography of Liang Shuming. Liang Shuming claimed that he was not a philosopher or a Chinese scholar, but just a "problem man." He called on him to "understand old China and build a new China." His lifelong pursuit was to find answers to the two major questions of life and society (China). "Diary of Liang Shuming" is a compilation of all existing diaries (nearly 800,000 words) of Mr. Liang Shuming, known as "the last Confucian", and is accompanied by dozens of precious private historical photos that have been made public for the first time. Mr. Liang has been in the habit of keeping diaries since his early years. The existing diary dates from 1932 to 1981. It survived through the confiscation of his home during the Cultural Revolution and other hardships. The author devoted himself to rural construction in his early years, inspected behind enemy lines during the Anti-Japanese War, mediated disputes between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party, went to Jinyun Mountain for retreat to practice Buddhism, visited new changes in urban and rural areas and land reform after liberation, was humiliated by having his house confiscated during the Cultural Revolution, studied debate at the CPPCC, persisted in writing and practicing all year round, etc. His 50-year experience and feelings are plainly recorded in his diary. This book is the first complete single line of Liang Shuming's diary. The editor has written an introductory preface and a summary of major events in each year, revised and added more than 600 notes, and compiled an index of nearly 2,000 major names. It is a precious factual record for in-depth study of Liang Shuming and understanding of China's social and political changes in the 20th century.
"Collection of Liang Shuming's Correspondence" contains more than 700 letters exchanged by Mr. Liang Shuming. The time span is from 1916 to the death of Mr. Liang Shuming in 1988, which lasts for more than 70 years.
