Beyond the Cycle of Reincarnation

A hundred thousand years ago, the emperors fought a great battle. Their blood stained the starry sky, the emperors fell, and heaven and earth mourned.

The battle severed the cycle of reincarnation. When living beings died and their Dao vanished, their souls scattered completely. Cultivators could no longer extend their lives through cultivation, and the glory of the myriad races faded.

As the myriad races teetered on the brink of extinction, the last Great Emperor in the world sacrificed himself to the Dao and created an entirely new life-candle system. Using life candles as a medium, all living beings once again built a glorious age. But the price was that no one in the world could ever again attain the Great Emperor's Dao.
