"New Moon Collection" is beautifully written, and reading it feels like being in an innocent children's world. The author Rabindranath Tagore shows the innocence and whimsy of children through delicate descriptions, and also praises the greatness of maternal love. This reminds me of "The Little Prince", both of which are full of thoughts on human nature and the pursuit of beauty. Tagore is worthy of being a "children's poet". His works can make people regain their innocence and feel the beauty of life.
I came here from "Asuka Collection", and I feel that compared with "Asuka Collection", this book mainly tells some stories, with a unique perspective, which can make people's eyes brighter. However, there are not many beautiful and poetic sentences or translations like Asuka (of course, this is not to say that New Moon's sentences and translations are not good, but compared to Asuka and Liuying, I think it is slightly worse). So if you want to experience the artistic conception of sentences and their translations, I think "New Moon Collection" is not a good choice. On the contrary, I recommend "The Collection of Flowing Fireflies", also written by Mr. Tagore. This book is mainly some inspiration fragments of Mr. Tagore and can be understood as essays. I think to a certain extent it is also rich in emotional expressions and picture renderings similar to those of flying birds, and can attract readers to make some thoughts. Of course, this is just my opinion. Different people may have different opinions after reading it. The above is my understanding of this book. I feel like the excerpts of good sentences are much less than those in Asuka, but the text is easier to understand and is basically about the themes of maternal love and innocence.
