For seven years, Su Qiluo stayed by Nangong Che’s side day and night as he rose from a useless prince, bullied by everyone, to the widely praised Prince Heng. From his lowest point to the height of his power, she never left him.
He was a picky eater, so she cooked for him herself. When people made things difficult for him and plotted against him, she wracked her brains to come up with plans for him. When someone tried to poison him, she risked her life to test the antidote. All Su Qiluo wanted was for him to live in peace and happiness, for everything to go smoothly for him, and for her to be able to leave once her work was done.
She never expected that the only thing she’d get in return was a cup of poisoned wine, bestowed by the emperor.
Watching Nangong Che race toward her from a distance, the tears in Su Qiluo’s eyes fell into the wine. “Forget me…”
“No!”
Nangong Che cried out in anguish. As he watched her slowly collapse before him, his throat tightened, and he spat out a mouthful of blood!
In the Kingdom of Dongling, rumors spread that after the former saintess died, Prince Heng Nangong Che neither announced her death nor buried her. Overnight, his nature changed. He slaughtered his way through the city, leaving rivers of blood, as if possessed by a demon.
“Phew! I finally managed to fake my death and get away. I wonder…”
Before Su Qiluo could even breathe a sigh of relief, she opened her eyes and froze. Why did the person in front of her look so much like Nangong Che, the man she’d just said goodbye to in death?!
A violent aura radiated from Nangong Che as he glared darkly at the woman before him. She’d just made a familiar little gesture. His voice was low and terrifying. “I respect you as my imperial aunt. Who told you to imitate her to get close to me?”
Later, rumors spread that the bloodthirsty, violent Prince Heng…
I read the novel in one breath, and from the beginning to the end, I felt suffocated. The female protagonist has been abused until almost the finale. She was humiliated by the male protagonist, had her fingers pinched, rolled nails, was poisoned, and anyone could slap the female protagonist... None of the accounts the female protagonist wrote down was taken back in revenge... In the final finale, the male protagonist fell in love with each other!!!
The heroine has a love brain, she has suffered so much, and her life is with her. What on earth does the heroine want when the hero doesn't even have a soft word to say? I have no dignity or backbone at all. I came to read novels to relieve stress, not to treat low blood pressure.
I personally think the heroine is a loser. I feel like the hero doesn't really love the heroine. Otherwise, how could he not even recognize her? Have you always suspected that her hero wouldn't investigate on his own?? If I was given a different male protagonist later on, I would think that you, the author, are quite classy. I didn't expect that they would be a couple for the rest of their lives. 🤦
I stayed up all night watching it and then it was hard to finish.
