There are more flashbacks early on, and the heroine is a shy little lab mouse. Later she turns into a little fox, and it gets really sweet. I think the whole book is pretty sweet.
“Qi Xingcan, can't you just like me?”
“I do.”
“Who do you like? That tree, or that telephone pole? Be specific.”
“I like you. Qi Xingcan likes Le Wei.”
