This book gave me a deeper understanding of China's multi-ethnic unified country. I have also wondered before why so many different ethnic groups can live in harmony in China. After reading this book, I understand that this is a historical necessity. Just like me and my girlfriend, we come from different families, but we come together because of love. The charm of a unified multi-ethnic country is that it allows us to better understand and respect each other's differences and jointly create a better future. However, I don't really like some of the discussions in the book, which feel a bit esoteric. But overall, this is a great book worth reading!
