When Zhong Min and Lin Zhe entered the first time node, tungsten rods were already aimed at the city above their heads!
In the early 23rd century, Blue Star, overexploited by humanity, began to bare its fangs.
The environment was rapidly deteriorating, extreme weather was becoming frequent, carbon dioxide levels were too high, and sea levels had risen by nearly fifty meters!
According to countless experts' estimates, within thirty years, 74% of the human-inhabited territories known to exist on Blue Star would gradually become uninhabitable.
This would be accompanied by the extinction of countless land species, the collapse of ecosystems, and the further depletion of resources.
An alliance of humanity, representing as many as ten billion people, or 95.6% of the total human population, was formed after four years of votes by governments around the world.
At 3:03 p.m. on the afternoon of the twelfth day of the third month in the fourteenth year of humanity's migration, the Human Alliance's sole space-based weapon, Ideal Light, slipped out of control. Fifteen minutes later, the Alliance's High Command regained access to its control system.
During those fifteen minutes, Ideal Light aimed nine tungsten rods at the nine most important inland cities for industry, technology, and finance.
Three hundred and forty million people, along with countless industrial, research, and financial centers, were utterly destroyed in those fifteen minutes!
Zhong Min: “Who launched the space-based weapon?”
Lin Zhe: “Whoever it was, they violated the ‘Temporal Regulations.’ As time managers, we have to step in!”
It's pretty cool, but digging so many holes at the beginning can easily lead to trouble, unless you have all the outlines in mind.
I haven't read much, but I'll leave my rating here first. If it turns out to be toxic later, I'll come back and re-rate it.
