A Sailor's Logbook

A magnificent age is always born on the eve of the darkest night.

Summoned by a mysterious power, Qian Yeyu is reborn into an era unrecorded in history. Sailing is a destiny etched into his very being. To save the countless starving people of the Great Yan Kingdom and break the spell binding its royal family, he builds the world's first warship and sets sail with his friends and his Sailing Journal. He brings the Pirate King to heel, wipes out the Eastern Ocean pirates, saves the Hualang Kingdom when hundreds of warships from the Eastern Ocean's Ying Kingdom lay siege to its capital, and fights the Ying navy to the death.

He journeys far into the uncharted depths of the Western Ocean, breaks the magic binding the Great Yan royal family, and searches for the secret of immortality. He escapes death at the hands of a ghost fleet and contends for supremacy at sea against the Western world's greatest naval fleet, led by the maritime hegemon known as the Carriage Driver of the Sea.
