On the Jade Emperor's birthday, the Queen Mother holds a grand banquet!
Once every thousand years, new immortals are selected in the immortal realm!
At the banquet, the Queen Mother promises that the finest among the ten new immortals may marry Tianyu, the seventh of the Seven Fairies.
But Tianyu refuses, choosing instead to demote herself to the mortal realm and never return!
So the Supreme Lord Lao comes up with a plan: Tianyu must find her true love within thirty years in the mortal realm, or she must fulfill the Queen Mother's wishes.
To find true love, Tianyu returns to the mortal realm as a baby, named Xia Zixi, and begins her thirty-year search for love!
As for me, my surname is Xiao and my given name is Jian. I'm just an ordinary loser. By chance, Tianyu goes looking for true love through a matchmaking service, and through a twist of fate, I end up living through an absurd and bizarre romance!
